After a well deserved break
from organsing events, George and Julie Venner are
back in the saddle. With the assistance of several
others, they are, once again, arranging social
events. On Saturday 10th September, a family day,
Bring and Braai function took place at the club. The
event was well advertised, resulting in a good
turnout, raising sufficient funds to settle a few
accounts. The crowd enjoyed the day, and, as usual,
the pub was the usual popular point of patronisation. 15
bikes pitched up for the Sunday
11th September ride, led by Errol,
ending at the home of Frans and Engela Erasmus, where more
friends, and members, were waiting to enjoy the great
breakfast, and to watch the game between the Bokke
and Wales.
Saturday 17th September was a good excuse for
George, Julie, Johan, Jennie and Kobus, to host the
viewing of the game between the Boks and Fiji.
Supported by at least 30 rugby enthusiasts, the
morning was a great success.
